I appologize if this isn't the appropriate place to post this question.

We looking into purchasing an MSDN subscription.

The sales rep at CDW was very help about saving us money.
Instead of purchasing, what she called, the "boxed" product

we could purchase the MSDN License product along with four (4) other cheap licenses. (Doesn't matter if we needed them or not.)

She said it was completely legal and that I would not be able to tell the difference...except that I wouldn't get a box. The automatic shipments would still arrive.

Is it legal/ethical to save money this way. We would save about $900.00.

Is she correct that I won't be able to tell the difference between the "boxed" version and the "license" version?

Thank you for your help,
Aaron

as long you follow the word of the license save money thats what bussiness is about. make the most while spending the lest to do it (legally). save $900.00 but don't this is an accciedent on M$'s part they want to move to open license that is why it is less So long and thanks for all the fish.

Thanks for your reply.

I have posted this question on two other sites and you have been the only one brave:) enough to reply.

Maybe you wouldn't mind clearing up some confusion for me.

Excuse my ignorance...What is an open license?
How is it different from a "regular" license?
How does Microsoft benefit from an open license?

Microsofts boxed license are for life one time buy you get the use of this software and this book

Microsoft Open Lincense they have a lot of plans with most start with you needing a passport login for actvation some come with free upgrade for 3 years are for one year only but they all are not for home users open lincense has to much for me to explane so (you will need to set up a passport login to view it) So long and thanks for all the fish.
