I’ve created a document using master pages.
But on trying to print I’m getting this message:

“Printing Error: Cannot Print or export to the specified device. There may be insufficient disk space on the device for the file you are creating.”

I’m having no trouble printing any other documents, so I’m left a little baffled.

Any Ideas?

Hi there
I suspect it's because there is insufficient memory on either your computer or on your printer. It's not too do with the programme itself. InDesign is a memory hog. I'm not very technically-literate so I'm not sure if that's right but I remember having the same problem a couple of months ago. I hope that helps.

What happens if you make a copy of the file and remove the master pages. Test this to make sure that this is not really a master pages issue.

The error is probably due to problems with fonts or placed EPS/AI graphics, the eternal cause for printing errors on any application.

Try exporting to PDF and then print from Acrobat.

Found it!

It was a problem with the font Optima, an ugly looking font but I had to use it in a headline, I've created outlines and it now seems to be working.
