Hyperterminal with IBM Thinkpad

My company gave me a new IBM Thinkpad T42. I have hyperterminal set up the same way as on my Compaq Armada E500. When I dial in with the Thinkpad all I get is ASCII charactors. My company doesn't think Procomm is worth the investment since noboby suffers but me.
 
you'll need to look at the view portion of the think pad, might be a better forum, the switch always sends ascii, depending on the app to translate.. if i didn't have a copy of procomm i would buy it myself. diaper-term is almost as bad as a dumb term..

I could'nt live without Procomm...

I bought it from these guys a few months ago...


Their price was by far the best around and absolutely no problems with order or delivery. I checked the price before hitting the submit button $69.98...
