Whenever your in Hyperterminal connected to the console port of a Cisco device, you constantly get messages like this across the screen...

*Mar 1 22:03:20.774: %SYS-5-CONFIG_I: Configured from console by console

How do you turn this off? Its very annoying and always comes up while I'm in the middle of typing a command.

Thanks,
Chris

'logging synch' will allow you to see logging messages when you are not typing in your commands as well,

i have another problem. on Windows XP, using Hyperterminal to connect to my CIsco routers, the 'history' feature doesn't work properly. It puts an '^@' after the last line. any fix to this?

Microsoft put out a patch for Hyperterminal. it's free to down load.

i'm on the msft site and see some patches but it's not obvious.
