I have created Hyper links which opens PDF files. It opens the files from the Laptop where the databse sits and the folders which contain the PDf files.

When moving the database to another Laptop, the links do not work. It is copied over to the same location as it would sit in the Primary Laptop. The links do not specify a drive letter which would prevent it from working. I have tried it on a PC and it works perfectly. On the others I just get a quick flash of a window and it closes.

Is there a setting within access I need to ammend?

Are the PDFs in the same folder structure as on your primary laptop? Can you open the PDFs manually by double-clicking them?

Yes they are exactly how they are in the primary laptop. all I get is a flash of some window trying to open something. It works fine on one PC. Im using access 2003.

reports\reports2001.pdf

the link is written automaticly when inserting a link via access.

If you're sure that the folder 'reports' is a subfolder of where the mdb is, I've run out of ideas.

Hopefully one of the very bright people in this forum will have some better suggestions. Sorry.
