Hyperlinks wont work

When I click on any hyperlink on internet it wont open. I will see the busy icon (hourglass) but it wont open the hyperlink. I have even tried to right click and open in new window, but it still wont do anything. Any suggestions.

The "works 78% of the time" fix: open notepad and copy/paste the below as ie_fix.cmd

regsvr32 urlmon.dll
regsvr32 Shdocvw.dll
regsvr32 Msjava.dll
regsvr32 Actxprxy.dll
regsvr32 Oleaut32.dll
regsvr32 Mshtml.dll
regsvr32 Browseui.dll
regsvr32 Shell32.dll

save the file, and then double click ie_fix.cmd to run the instructions. Answer any prompts, including missing files.

Reboot and test.
