Huntgroup agent needs ability to distinguish internal call from manager

Hi,

This customer has an IP Office 7.0 and 1608 / 1616 IP phones. There are agents in a huntgroup taking calls. We need a way for internal calls from managers to show up on another button or ring differently. I have tried creating a virtual hotdesk extension and programming a Bridged Appearance button, but it always rings busy. The fix for this with a huntgroup for each user is not practical.

Any other ideas?

could they just look at their display and see his name calling them

if you were running R9 (or later) and 14xx/95xx phones you could apply differentiated ringing on the HG calls (unique) and have the regular ring for internal calls.

As it is, you'll get the default behaviour (single ring for single call, double ring for outside call), and of course the very confusing display.

Thanks GB. I've been trying to get them to upgrade anyway. Another nail in the coffin for 7.0 :)
