We have inherited a Compact Plus system with a building we have taken over. It has four incoming lines and sixteen extensions, all of which ring on incoming calls. We want to ring only six extensions on incoming calls, the rest will ring only on internal calls or forwarded external calls. We have programmed:
1. Hunt group 1 to contain the six extensions we want to ring.
2. The four incoming lines are assigned to hunt group 1.
3. Distribution is broadcast.
The system seems to accept the programming, but still rings all sixteen extensions on all calls. We've tried everything we can think of, but no luck.
What have we forgotten, or omitted to do?

take the lines off all the phones and if you are using them for outgoing put in a linepool to dial out

Set the lines on the phones you don't want to ring to "Appear Only". Hunt group is not nessecary.
