Hunt Groups - Mitel 3300 1

We have a requirement for a small team to be set up with a hunt group as opposed to them being part of an ACD queue. A couple of questions have resulted from this:-

1) If I set up a circular hunt group, does the call keep hunting round until it is answered or does it only hunt round once?
2) If the call is not answered, can it go into a holding queue on that hunt group?
3) Can a hunt group be set up with night service the same as an ACD queue can?
 
Answers:

1) - It will hunt to the next available on no answer continuously (circular). It will hunt until the last member (terminal)

2 - No, you can only queue to a busy hunt group. Train the users to use DND when they leave their desks and it will work.

3 - Hunt froups can be routed via Night service. Additionally, you can use the third party call forward FAC to forward the huntgroup on demand.

thanks for your response. with regards to queueing to a busy hunt group,what does the caller hear while they are queueing? Could we set up a message or music for them to hear?

If we don;t have a general night service set up, can it be done individually for this one hunt group?
 
You can configure the Hunt Group to play a RAD when busy and place the caller on hold.

The hunt group will integrate directly with voicemail with VM box Matching Huntgroup Pilot and you can provide a mailbox, menu or whatever function you desire.
