Having a promblem with Hunting and Call forward no answer. The system is a Mics 6.0 and Call pilot 150.Here is the situation.Various phones ring on incoming lines the phones have cfna at 3 rings and the call pilot 150 is set to pick up the overflow at 4 rings. The promblem is the sets with cfna at 3 rings goes to there personal voicemail. Is'nt hunting suppose to have precedence over cfna?Is there a way to have the phones ring on incoming lines yet have cfna at 3 rings and the call pilot answer at 4 rings??The only way i can think of fixing the promblem is to put a bell or something for the hunt group and make it ring and not to make the sets to ring on incoming lines.Any ideas??Thx.

In System programming/Hunt groups, set all of the Hunt Group member DNs to "Ring Only". When sets have a Hunt Group appearance, Call Forward No Answer will respond to Hunt group calls that reach the ring limit.

Also remove the ringing of lines on the phones themselves and only make ring in the hunt group, the phones that you want to ring.

Good Luck!!

you might find it simpler to just set the cfna to 4 rings, the voicemail/aa grabs the calls ahead of individual voicemail boxes.

Assign the lines ONLY to the hunt group. Do not put them on the phones. If the lines appear or ring on the phones directly then the call will not be a hunt group call. So it won't follow the hunt group programming.

Go under Hunt groups, line assignment and assign the lines directly to the hunt group only. Do NOT assign the lines in any way, shape or form to the phones themselves.
