Hi there!
I need some help with a hunt group since I'm super inexperienced with how these work.

We have a toll-free number with a VDN and then a vector set up that sends callers to a hunt-group should a certain digit be captured. This is all working just fine but if people are not at their phones, the call never goes to the next person or to a voice mailbox. I would have thought the call would at lease be answered by the person's voicemail but this is not the case.

Important info to know, the people in this hunt-group are NOT logging into a call center or anything so we are just using the basic functionality to route the calls. I have the hunt-group set up as:

PAGE 1
HUNT GROUP
Group Number: 204
Group Name: Traffic
Group Extension: 602-2004
Group Type: circ
TN: 2
COR: 72
Security Code:
ISDN/SIP Caller Display:
Coverage Path:
Night Service Destination:
MM Early Answer? n
Local Agent Preference? n

PAGE 2
LWC Reception: spe AUDIX Name:
Message Center: none

PAGE 3
Group Number: 204 Group Extension: 602-2004 Group Type: circ
Member Range Allowed: 1 - 1500 Administered Members (min/max): 1 /4
Total Administered Members: 4
GROUP MEMBER ASSIGNMENTS
Ext Name(19 characters) Ext Name(19 characters)
1: 602-8525 N, Danny
2: 602-8786 D, Austen
3: 602-8766 K, Sean
4: 602-8767 C, Kylee
5:

At End of Member List

Sp when the calls go in the hunt-group, it is set up to start at the top of the list and therefore the call goes to Danny first, but if Danny is not there, the call never returns or get pushed to the next person or even voicemail. In my testing, if Danny is on the phone, the caller would then go to Austen as the next person but again, if Austen is not there to answer it, the phone will just continue to ring and ring until the caller hangs up.

So experts.... how can I get it to have voicemail pick up after say 4 rings?

Thanks in advance or let me know what other information you need to help me fix this!!!!

on page 1 assign a coverage path for voicemail and on page 2 enter audix for lwc prompt

It still should hunt to the next agent so I would do a trace, also make sure agents do not have their send all calls enabled.

A hunt group won't go from one station to the next to the next if the call isn't answered. The hunt group picks the station to send the call to based on the type of hunting, in this case "circ". That means the first call will attempt to hit phone one if it's available. If it's not available it will ring to phone 2 if it's available, etc...
The second call will ignore phone 1 and attempt to ring to phone 2 if it's available, then 3, etc... The third call will skip phones 1 and 2 and go directly to 3, etc... It's a circle. But, if you don't have coverage paths set up, once it rings to a station, it will ring there until it's answered or the caller hangs up.
Coverage paths are what will ring to one for for x number of rings and then try the next phone in the list for x rings, etc...
