I have a 4 ext hunt group that should hunt from 4080-->4081-->4082-->4084 then should go to the switchboard. It won't hunt past the next extension in the chain. This is what I have:

TYPE 500
CDEN 4D
CUST 0
WRLS NO
DN 4080 0 MARP
AST NO
IAPG 0
HUNT 4081
TGAR 0
LDN NO

SGRP 0
RNPG 0
XLST
SCI 0
SCPW
CLS CTD DTN FBA XFD WTA THFD FNA HTA ONS

GPUD DPUD CFXA ARHD OVDD AGTD CLTD LDTD ASCD
MBXD CPFA CPTA DDGA NAMA MIND
MCRD
EXR0 SHL ABDD CFHD DNDY DNO3
CWND USMD USRD BNRD OCBD RTDD RBDD RBHD FAXD CNUD CNAD PGND FTTU
RCO 0
PLEV 02
AACS NO
MLWU_LANG 0
FTR FDN 4081
DATE 19 OCT 2005

When I had the FTR= FDN 0 it wouldn't hunt it would just go to the switchbaord if there was no answer. I guess FDN overrides HUNT. What am I doing wrong?

These phones are built on 500 sets but are appearances on 3904 sets. The LHK on the 3904 sets=1. The 408x extensions are MARP on the 500 sets.

hunt only works when the set is busy, if it is idle fdn is used, hunt is the 1st match the switch looks at, but only for a busy set

so shouldn't CLS=FNA and FTR=FDN 408x make it hunt the way I want?

yes after rco is met it will forward no answer, but it only fna's for 3 hops max

It still isn't wont forward past the next ext in the chain. It just rings there forever. I changed the RCO=2 so I didn't glaze over waiting for 4 rings ( I have the attention span of a gnat).

right, might look at mcr for those sets, if it will work for your app. add mcra to class on an analog then chg each of the other three to mcra dn 4080. then dial 4080, they all ring, one answers, call 4080 the other 3 rings.. until all 4 are busy hunt doesn't happen, with all four busy, hunt could be mail

is this setup as a HUNT GROUP using a pilot DN ???

looks like just a forwarding setup to me...

Why don't you use the group hunt feature?

All you have to do is crate a list in LD 18
Define a PLDN (Pilot DN) in LD 57
Define the parameters for GHT Feature LIN or RRB search.

All you lose is the PLDN (in your case its 4080) this one can not be a existing set.
The last entry in you list is the attendant number.

No it isn't using a Pilot DN.

I'm going to give the Group Hunt a try, if that doesn't work, they'll be ACD like it or not. Watch out SL1, I may be back for assistance.

thanks johnpoole, I can't use mcr because they have a agent menu in application builder directing certain calls to certain agents. so why bother hunting to agents that can't help? because it's a live body.

We call group hunt the poor peoples ACD.

Like ACD you could additional give every "agent" a GHD key, so that they can log in and out of this group.

The best thing is, it's not eating up any licences.

Change CLS FBD. With FBA this causes a conflict with hunt and fdn.

your right on that one, never turn on fba unless the station is fdn to the operator, it's not your problem on this one. i put your class in my switch and tested it, it does exactly what you needed. just don't fna past the 3rd step. that is a switch limitation, even in henderson, nortels are stuborn.. take the day off and go to lake mead.

To create Hunt Groups you need to use LD18 to store the extensions in the Group Hunt List and LD57, which assigns the Pilot DN to the Group Hunt List.

LD 18
REQ NEW
TYPE GHT
CUST 0
LSNO (Next List Number)
DNSZ (Directory Number Size)
SIZE (Size of list, How many entries)
STOR 00 XXXX (XXXX = Directory Number)
WRT (C/R)
STOR 01 XXXX (XXXX = Directory Number)

Continue with store entries until list completed.

Attaching a Pilot DN (PLDN) to the list number LD 57

REQ CHG
TYPE FFC
CUST 0
CODE PLDN
PLDN (Pilot Directory Number, which must be a unique number on the Meridian)
USE GPHT (Group Hunting)
LSNO List number created in LD 18)
HTYP (RRB=Round Robin, LIN = Linear)
CFWI (NO = Skip Extn if CFW Activated
YES = Terminate on Extn if CFW Activated)
MQUE (ALL = No limit on queued Calls
0 = No calls to be queued
1 = Maximum of 1 call queued)

OK. I'm back in the office. Before I start this GPHT thing, is it going to work? If the line is idle it's just going to continue to ring, which is what it's doing now. According to the NTPs "hunting ends when one of the termination conditions is met". the first termination condition is "an idle DN is encountered". I really need it to go to the next extension if it is busy or isn't answered.

Now that you have FBD in the CLS it is safe to enter FTR FDN 0

you can add a key to the sets to opt out of the group when unavailable

key x GHD

look up mcr's in the feature discriptions, a hunt group or a short hunt as you have built, rings forever on the 1st idle dn.. it might forward, fna sfa with an fdn, but hunt is for a busy station, forward is for an idle unanswered station
