Hi im quite new at this.

We have BCM400 3.6 with call pilot.

I currently have a ringing service setup to a hunt group in the hunt group is 5 DNs dotted aorund the office set to broadcast. they should ring 4 times then go to VM now it all works apart from the 5 phones ringing...the main reception phone rings and then goes to VM but the rest dont...I have them set to appr&ring in the hunt group.

does anyone have any ideas

In the HUNT Group did you assign the Line's to it? If you don't assign the lines in the hunt group the 4 other phones wont ring until after the 4 rings, but then it is going to Vmail.

Are you using ringing service or Hunt group or both?

yes i assigned lines to it...so ive got members and lines...

Im using a ringing service and a hunt group...so when it turns 5:30 the receptionist can turn on the this rining service which will then send the calls to the hunt group which will ring 5 random phones around the office all at once...the call can be taken at any of these phones and if its not answered whitin 4 rings the v-mail will take it...

the one thing i dont quite understand is the differnce between physical lines and target lines...do i add target lines as members of the hunt group????

Thanks for your responce

I have another porblem now thats happening...

The phone is being answered during the day without any ringing services on and is going straight to a voicemail not sure which one. and im getting this event on the report

2007/07/24 12:45:03 CallAns: No mailbox found for DN 625 rc=1(0x1)

Dn 625 is the hunt group but the hunt group shouldnt even be activated becuase its linked to the ringing service

How is the ATT phone programmed for NO Ans.

If a phone is in a HUNT group and the Lines are programmed, then the phone will ring.

Check 625 to see what it is programmed under Capilities, it may be prorgammed to goto Vmail even though it doesn't have a Vmail box.

hello,

Thanks for you help so far.

The reception phone has no call forward options set

ive uploaded some screen shots it might help explain what my current settings are

if you past the above address and download the zip there are jpg screenshots of my setup.

Because there is a Hunt Group is the reason the phones are ringing.

your showing the Lines as
Line 61
Line 62
Line 63
Line 64
Line 65 I have never seen these before Should be Line 69
Line 66 I have never seen these before Should be Line 70

Ok ive started again and tried a new solution based on a nother thread that i have seen here.

I have set up reception phone to ring 4 times then on no answer for it to pass the call to hunt group (DN625) and then overflow to VM on timeout...

now the reception phone rings then after 4 rings it stops then after 6 rings in total the VM picks it up....

so it apperas as the hunt group is not ringing....now if i ring the hunt group directly by dialing DN625 then all the phones ring...

has anyone come across this before

Do you have any of these lines set to "appear only" on the sets that are members of your hunt group?

no they are all set to ring only because i didnt want the hunt group button to appear.

If you have answer DN set up on some of the phones in the hunt group can that affect the ringing of the hunt group

Don't put the lines in the HUNT GROUP just the phones to ring only.

Turn off or up the transfer call back timer. That is why its going to VM on 6 rings.
