My customer has a Prolgix V12..I did not do the programming with this issue but here goes.
They have a small Reservations group of 8 extensions..All 6408D+ sets.
The extensions are in hunt group 2.. A UCD hunt group..The customer would like callers to go to a general voice mail box when the hunt group is not answered by an extension in the hunt group..
Sooo..Here is how it's set up..
Call comes into the console..Operator sends the caller to Px 3997..the lead number of hunt group 2....7 out of the 8 station users are not at their desks..the call is answered by the only person in the group..All is well to this point..
Problem is that when a second call comes in,while the first call is still in progress, my customer want's the call to ring 5 times in the group ..then go to a general voicemail box..[ Intuity ]The general voice mail box is built...Px 3060...
Page one of the hunt group lets me put in a coverage path, [ coverage path 7 Which I built for 5 rings.. but my switch does not send the caller to that path..
The second call just rings forever...
How can I send a call that goes to a hunt group, go to coverage path that then gets me to general voicemail box, after not being answered within the hunt group?

Does the switch require that all 8 hunt group members ring no answer before it sends the caller to the coverage path??
Sorry if this is a bit long...but...
Any help will be greatly appreciated..
Rich

What do U have in the RONA field on the hunt group?
Are the persons not at their desk logged out of the hunt grp?

Orypecos
This hunt group was not setup as a split..Hence no log in,log out ..etc..just a plain hunt group..
After doing some more research, I believe that, that's my problem..
Do I have to go with queuing..then a don't answer interval before routing to a coverage path..

I'll have to return onsite to answer the question of the RONA field.
Thanks
Rich

How is the coverage path setup to get the call to your desired mailbox(3060)? do you send it to your voicemail main hunt group number? or do you send it to 3060 as one of your cover points on the cover path form.

Sent it to a coverage path 7..

Coverage Path 7 has ext 3060, [1 ring] as the one and only point..

Px 3060 is x ported, and is told to go to voicemail after 1 ring.
Main hunt group 99 is voice mail..

If I dial 3060 direct from any station, it works fine..goes right to voice mail.." you have reached the Reservation dept" etc..etc..

Again, I could be off base here, and there may be some issue with spanning multiple cover paths.

Also, I'm not familiar with Intuity, as I've always had the Octel. However, it may be that it's looking for a mailbox for 3997 (your main hunt group number), since that is waht was dialed. I know in the Octel, the integration with the switch is difficult to break-what was dialed is what mailbox it will route to-when it does go to voicemail.

Two things, unless someone else has something entirely different. In the name field of the hunt group form (the 3997), use the exact name you use on your mailbox in question, but after that, use a period, followed by 3060. See what happens when it supposedly goes to VM.

Similarly, what happens if you build a mailbox 3997, and use that as your team mailbox. That would negate the above step.
Also, that way, you could simply have voicemail as the primary point of coverage on 3997-not an extension that has a new cover path- a little cleaner

Thanks ...food for thought..will dig deeper and try your solution..

Rich,
You might want to try setting up 3060's coverage path so that it rings to the reservation hunt group(h2) as first point of coverage with voicemail(h99) as the second. In the V12 you should be able to define in the coverage path the number of rings before the second point is attempted.

In this scenario the operator would transfer the caller to 3060 which as an X-port would go to coverage immediatly, ring hunt group 2 for as many rings as you have programmed, then it would go to voicemail and take a message in mailbox 3060.
