I am trying to setup an inbound line for our marketing department. I would like the number to ring on 3 sets for now. I thought I would use a hunt group. I have the following questions:

1.) I would only like the call to ring a max of 3 times and then if its not answered send to voicemail.

2.) I would like calls to automatically go to voice mail after hours (manual procedure or automatically at close of business)

I can't find where to program the number of rings, nor have I figured out how to forward to voice mail.

The extension for the hunt group is not attached to a physical phone.

Thanks

Look at the Que timeout for the Hunt Group. That is in seconds so 15 would be as close to 3 rings as you going to get.

1) in setting up the hunt group use broadcast to ring all sets at once, you then enter the number rings before overflow. In your case 3.
2) In the overflow field enter your voice mail DN as the overflow destination.
3) create a voice mail box using the the HG DN as the MB number.

For a hunt group to automatically go to voice mail after hours it depends on how calls arrive at the hunt group and which system/voice mail you're using to determine whether or not its possible.
