Is it possible to have all phones ring in a hunt group instead of one station that is most idle? I guess that would defeat the purpose of a hunt group? Let me know what you guys think. Your input is appreciated!

Instead of using a hunt group, send the calls to a phantom extension (X-PORT) with a coverage path to a cover answer group. Unfortunately this will only work with 8 users or less.

There are specific requirements where you would need all phones in a hunt to ring. The first one to pick up the call gets the call and the flashing and ringing on other phones, stops.
You could use coverage answer group to make all the members ring simultaneously. But it is limited to 8 members.

thats what I figured. 8 phones is plenty. The only reason i went with a hunt group is to configure each station to be notified when someone left a voicemail on the hunt extension. can you do this with the XPORT

They don't have to be members of a hunt group to be notified of message waiting. create an aut-msg-wt button on their phones for the mailbox extension.

i did create a aut-msg-wt button and it does not light up. The LED light at the top of the phone doesn't light up either.

I had the lights and aut-msg-wt working in the hunt group mode.
