Hunt Group Overflow

Customer with a MICS 7.1 & Flash 4. I built a hunt group (broadcast). I set the reception phone to "forward no answer" to HG-01 after 3 rings. That works OK. I set the overflow to go to the Auto Attendant, instead it goes to general delivery mailbox. Any thoughts appreciated.

There is no choice for AA as an Overflow.
Only a DN can be entered such as a phone, voice mails DN (mailbox) or another hunt group.

More details on the Mailbox when you set the Overflow DN to voice mails DN:
-If you have created a mailbox with the same number as the HG DN then it will go to that mailbox
-If not then it defaults to the General Delivery mailbox

OK but I sent it to the VM DN "251" I thought the AA would answer?

Only BCM that I know of and probably 100/150 using Service Directory Table

If there is no matching mailbox and you turn off the general delivery mailbox then I am curious what would happen to the call.

Any ideas on how to get it to the AA after the hunt. Maybe if I set the AA to answer after say 6 or 7 rings. Do you think it would present the incoming call to the hunt group then the AA would answer? Sounds reasonable to me, the line is still incoming?

Try what Curly suggests. Be sure return to AA is yes otherwise it'll disconnect.

Just today I was messing with HGs and found what you wanted, this was on a BCM.

HG01 (X397) Overflow to DN of voice mail
Mailbox 397 created as INFO (not Subscriber)

Call went to AA

Changed it to Subscriber and it did what I was after but had to use Alt greeting and Leave MSG = NO

I mean what I was after was customer wanted call to ring a set then dump into an info typ of message but not able to leave a message.
I thought I was crafty by setting the mailbox as an INFO but HG does not like it....."user unavailable" and bounced back to AA.

So not quite what you want as you dont want that "user unavailable"

OK, so I got what the customer wanted. I set the reception phone to forward no answer to hg-01 after 3 rings, then set the AA to answer after 5 rings. Because the call is still a hot incoming call the AA answers. Perfect!! Thanks for all your input I really appreciate it. This is a great place to work out your problems.
