I have two receptionists in a broadcast hunt group on a BCM450 r5. If both are on the phone the caller just hears ringing until one of them becomes available. If I overflow them to another HG with the same members, will they ring on the second IC or will the call be queued? I just need some indication that a call is waiting.

I'm going to try to set up an unused analog port as the overflow target and assign an answer DN for it on both attendants.

OK, that didn't work. System still sees the phone as busy and doesn't send the sets a second call. Anyone been able to get the BCM to send a hunt group set more that one call through trickery?

Try programming your hunt groups with appear&ring instead of intercom button.

gberger, I tried that and it still queues the waiting call. I guess I'm going to have to figure out how to do this w/o using hunt groups.

I think I finally have it working. Here's what I did:
Built a rotary HG (broadcast won't work)
Put an unused analog station as the only member
Assigned the analog station as an Answer DN on my HG sets
Overflow the HG back to itself.

Now when I call the HG DN, the first call rings on the Answer DN button on all sets. A second call to the HG rings on the intercom key on all sets with the ADN assigned. Third and subsequent calls to the HG continue to ring on other intercom keys, allowing the operator to place the call on hold and answer a new call. Since the calls appear to the set as Answer DN calls, they don't follow the forwarding for the set, and total calls for the hunt group will equal the total of all the intercom keys on the sets where the Answer DN appears plus the number of sets that DN appears on.
