I have a customer with a MICS 5.0 and Flash 2.1.00. and a PRI.

When calls come in to AA table 1 ccr tree 1 thru a DID (target line 145) the caller has an option to reach sales by pressing a 2, if sales dosent answer then the hunt group overflows to another hunt group for further ringing. if this hunt group dosen't answer then the call is directed to a single telephone which will forward to its vm box.

Problem is that twice now hunt group 1 just locks up and dosen't ring any of the member DN's it immediately goes to overflow (the second hunt group) I could not see any forwarding or DND active on the phones of HG1 I unplugged and reconnected each of these phones. I tried changing the member hunt group appearance to ring only and appear only with no change in the fact that the extensions were not ringing. I finally had to delete all members from the hunt group (1) and re-enter them before it started working again.

Calls transfer out of CCR tree 1 path 2 INT Trans 688.

Both hunt groups are set as broadcast and overflow with the first hunt group overflowing to the second and the second overflowing to a telephone (that is a member of the first hunt group)

Has anyone came across anything like this in the past or have any ideas on what I could try (since this is so intermittent this may take a few months before it shows up again) JerryReeve

All I can tell you is that I have seen some weird problems with some funky hunt groups set up and all Nortel would tell me is that they wouldn't recommend that set up, tried to push like an acd set up, maybe you will get someone that will be more helpful. I know there are some issue's that are in the MICS 5.0 software, like external call forwarding.

Jerry,

I had the same problem before on the MICS 5.0 WI 6.02,and Nortel fixed that problem with MICS 5.0 WI 6.06.
The problem was like this (In a brodcast hunt group if one call is ringing in hunt group then the second call will be forwarded to the overflow set,if the overflow set transfers the call back to the hunt group the overflow set will get a "not in service" error message). If you upgrade to 5.0 WI 6.06 you will be ok.Thats was one of the Nortel 's software glitches.I hope that helps. Good Luck!
