I know this is not the perfect way to program a hunt group but the customer wanted line appearances. I had a cics with 7.0 in the office so I tested it before I went on site and it worked. I had line appearances on 4 phones and they would ring 3 times, if no answer calls would go to the auto attendant, if 1 was pressed calls would go to a hunt group with the 4 phones above in the group, calls would ring back on the line appearances (not the hunt group button) and if no answer again calls would go to the general delivery mailbox (hunt group overflow was the voice mail dn) I went to the customer site and programmed (mics with 7.0) and it would not work. Calls would go to the AA but when 1 was pressed the lines would just ring and ring on the phones not following the hunt group overflow or the phone call forward not answer and if you called the hunt group dn and the overflow is the voice mail dn it would not go there, you would get extension is not available. Is there a difference between CICS and MICS 7.0 because even the hunt group programming was different. Cics when adding members you just had the option to add members, on MISC you had the option to appear and ring, appear only or ring only.

Should be same CICS or MICS
When you see Members press NEXT to see Line Assignment
Note that you do NOT need Line Assignment within Hunt Groups when they already have line appearances.

You should really post details such as how you programmed it all....include what the Overflow is and its ring count and also if Prime Set is programmed in Line Programming etc.
Without knowing what you have done it's hard to say.

You also do not need to program a hunt group as Appear and Ring if they have line appearances, just make it Ring Only.

Time settings etc can effect flow.

Typical from AA is
-Members added as needed
-Ring Only
-Overflow to voice mails DN or to another HG or to a supervisors set.
-15 seconds

You cn create a mailbox with the same DN as the HG if need too.

4 Sets have line appearance, appear and ring. Prime set none on lines. Lines are set to ring 3 times then go to auto attendant. Auto attendant has option 1 to go to hunt group which has the above 4 phones in it. Hunt group 1--has the above 4 phones as members, no line assignment, mode is broadcast, if busy is overflow, timeout is 15, overflow is voicemail dn. Here is what happens, incoming call rings on line appearance on phones, after 3 rings call goes to auto attendant, caller presses 1 it sends call to hunt group, calls do not ring the hunt group button but ring back on the assigned line, after 3 rings calls follow the hunt group overflow and go to the general delivery mailbox. Perfect on my test cics. Now when I program it the same way on the mics everything works the same until you press 1 from the auto attendant, calls ring back on the assigned line but the hunt group overflow never kicks in. Calls ring until transfer callback kicks in, 12 rings. Temp fix is transfer callback, 5 rings, calls go back to AA and auto attendant now has option 5 to leave message.

calls do not ring the hunt group button but ring back on the assigned line"
That why I said make it Ring Only as not to confuse/hamper....no need for the HG button if you insist on line appearances.

However try removing the lines to see if it works, technically HG's do not support a member that has Line Appearances.
or better yet create a new test HG and use one test phone so you don't have to interfere with those sets.

Are you sure MICS is 7.0?

Here is an easier read on the eyes...

Programming:
-Lines assigned to AA 3 rings

-Lines are Primed to NONE

-Transfer Call back 12 rings
-DRT 12 rings

-4 Members in HG01
-HG Members are Ring Only
-Mode is Broadcast
-Lines are NOT assigned to the HG
-Busy is set to NONE
-Overflow is vmails DN
-Q timer is 15 secs

Results:
-AA answer at 3 rings
-Option 1 rings HG for 15 secs
-Call overflows to mailbox
