I have a hunt group setup so that all incoming calls will ring multiple phones. I need to setup a function button on the main phone with something like the 'FollowMeTo' functions so that that the main user can hit the button, punch in the number to forward to nad be done.

Unfortunately the 'FollowMeTo' function won't work because its an ext to ext funtion, not for group hunt groups.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated, and thanks in advance :)

Forward unconditional & tick forward hunt group calls
this will only work for Hunt & Rotory groups

You can set up a phantom user and send all calls to it in incoming call routes. Then when you want to divert calls to a destination, you can either hotdesk into the phantom users ext and set the unconditional forward to a group or user. Its not as easy as a simple button, but its still functional. Another way to do it is send all calls to a startpoint. Set up various user variables for each possible destination you may want to forward calls to.

Then create another start point that will allow you go into and set which user variable to activate. I wish I could paste pictures here to show you what the call flow structure would look like.

I have tried that, unfortunately it doesn't allow the user to specify the number to forward to, This is he crux of the problem I am having.

If you use call forward all under emulation, when you press the buttom it prompts you for the forwarding destination. I just tested it here in my lab for ya and it works for me. I tested it under version 3.1.56

I've never used Hotdesking before, so I looked up the shortcode after creating the user phantom adn putting a Call Forward All button on this users extension. Anyway, I dial *35*99# and get a CallRejected error.

I appreciate the help, do you have any suggestions on how to troubleshoot hostdesking or do I need to turn hotdesking on, etc???

you must go to User>Telephony tab and put a log in password, this will change your user icon to a little desk.
then use *35*extension*logincode# i.e. *35*100*100#

I understand what you are saying, the problem is that it will only forward that extensions calls not the calls that come inot the hungroup.

I did however figure out how to enable hostdesking (need to set the login code :) and created a button the users phone (*35*99*1234#/Login) to login the user to the Phantom extension. The created a button the Phanton User to logout (*36/Logout) and button for Call Forward All and have them either enter the cell phone number they want to forward to or the extension of the main huntgroup.

THis worked really well. Thanks for all the help :)

to forward calls to the group you need to tick "Forward Hunt Group Calls"
this feature only works for Hunt (linner) & rotory groups

A simpler option is use the night or out of service option, to a group with the forwarded user, one button toggles on/off on digital phones
