Wasn't sure of the right words to use in a search for this. We have a departmental main DN x8310 that is a line appearance of several phones (Key 1 or above). I'd like to be able to HUNT/FDN calls to that number to another extension, x4531. Other extensions on which this number appears all go to voicemail for their sets' HUNT/FDN.

I tried a phantom 500 set, but it wouldn't allow me to set a DN (8310) that wasn't unique. I thought maybe we'd done this in the past with a data TN (unit 16 and above), but that didn't work either.

I may be having a senior moment, but it seems to me I've done something like this in the past, but I'm drawing a blank. Open to suggestions.

Hello Steve

You can have a 500 (Analogue set) with the same number, but the trick is to remove all the current appearances first on the digital phones, and then rebuild the digital ones back in.

I'm certain that you can't have a Phantom and a digital set with the same number.

This means that you would have to use a spare 500 set TN to set up the forwarding as this set will have the MARP against it.

I think that's the piece I was missing. THANK YOU!!!

I tried that, but I think I know my error. I think I tried to program the data TN as a 500 set and I'll be it has to be a digital set. Correct?
