hi,
from some days in a printer server (W2K Server antivirus protected)
with also LPD Service activated (TCP/IP Print Server, windows speaking),
with almost 50 shared printers, in the morning, appens that hundreds of jobs come enqueued on these printers (20-30 each one).
Seems to be a virus, but Virus scanning on it was negative.
However is more probable that a client, in the net, is virus infected, and sends to print server many jobs,
(in that environment, there are 2-300 PCs and many of them have not antivirus, incredible but real).
Has someone listened about similar problem ?
Do you know tools (administrative or virus oriented)
to see which client sends a print job ?
Thanks
