Hi,

could someone please tell me which browser (ns & ie) supports which html version ??

thanx

For browser support, I don't think you have to worry quite so much what version of HTML you use. Its only if you get into DHTML, and CSS that you have to start to worry about what you use. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I've never had any trouble with just straight HTML in any browser, or version.

could be..

I've heard once that HTML versions are backwards compatible ( HTML 2.0 --> HTML 4.1 ). I was just checking on that..

thanx a lot

I think that HTML versions arn't so much as new releases of code, but more so new releases of standards of how to use that code.

its not so much the html code as the scripting language embedded into it. Fior instance, you'll find netscape will not interpret javascript the same way IE does.
