Hi Guys,

I have a website that had 500 hits. When I mdofiy the main poage and republish it it send it back to 1. Is there a way through HTML coding or by some other means that I can get the hit counter to start at 500?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Assuming this is a FP hit counter, you should be able to right click on the counter and select FrontPage Component Properties from the menu. In the dialog box, check the option to "Reset Counter to" - enter the number (500) and click the OK button. Save the page and publish it, but remember - after you publish it you'll want to go back into the hit bounter properties dialog box and UNcheck the option to reset the counter. This *should* prevent FP from over writing the live counter each time you publish.
