HP4K V5 to Hicom 300 via Cornet Issues

We have an HP4K V5 that was installed by a vendor in 2010 and is cornetted back to our central Hicom 300 80EX in a hub and spoke type of configuration.

I don't know if it has always been this way or something happened when we did the PM in the middle of last year or what, but I have had a number of reports now that when people from one of the Hicom 300 sites call over to the 4K site they cannot camp on, and it does not show the name of the person you are calling in the display. I have also had a number of complaints that when someone from the 4K site calls an extension at one of the Hicom 300 sites and that call is supposed to go to voicemail (AVST) they get ring no answer and the call never goes to voicemail, OR they call one of my sites that has a menu system in place (using AVST) and press "2 for Home Health" that they don't get anything but dead air. One of the administrative assistants just called me looking for help because she can't camp on to an extension at the 4K site and that phone has been busy most of the day. It seems like the CPNI data is not being passed across CorNet or something like that.

One other bit of information is that after the system was installed I have since added maybe 60+ phones to the system - the majority of them were created by copying an existing phone into notepad and changing the pen and extension - then using a bunch of them in Macro mode. It is possible I made a bad station choice for my cloned station and not all the parameters are set. I know that on the individual new phones that not all of the classmarks are set, etc. I have been adding the knocking/call waiting parameter for all of the new phones in question, but it does not seem to help. I don't know if i should be looking at COT/COP or COS or station settings and flags to be causing this problem where CorNet doesn't seem to be handshaking properly.

Does anyone have any ideas of where I should look?

Thanks.

Apart from the obvious you will need a CD RICHT, LODR of ECHO,1; and END;
Then the extensions are sent to the relevant DESTNO
Also there are specific COT/COP Parameters and the TDCSU has to be setup correctly.
Could you post some more info on those please?
I have a few sites with these up and running and they are transparent to the end users so I should be able to assist.
Can you identify the extensions/systems that are giving the problems?
Can you put a callback on to a busy/no answer extension?

I will dredge up the appropriate COS, COT, COP, LODR, etc and post them.

One thing I did note and spent a few hours correcting yesterday is that when I created the approx 60 - 70 new phones on the systems after it was installed I was too lazy to fill in the 10-digit subscriber number, numbering plan, and type of number parameters on the Basic 3 screen. I did all that yesterday just in case. I WAS having problems with callback yesterday and went a few steps further and checked the classmarks for knocking/call waiting, voice call, one way speaker and elapsed time display. The knocking/call waiting mark seems to be the cause of why I couldn't camp on - the others I just put there because they were in some of the original phones that were set up with the system. They're all optisets.

I don't know if the lack of caller-id and numbering plan data per phone is the reason why I was having problems. I'm trying to do more testing of that, but it can be difficult to enlist the help of the original complainants because "they are busy and they don't have time for this", so I used the usual tactic of closing the work order and telling them the problem is gone - that will spur them to try it to see for themselves without me asking them to do it. If they still have the issue they will complain that i never fixed the problem and I'll have my answer.... It's really sad to have to manipulate people into helping you because they won't if you ask them, but... whatever works.

I might wait a day or two before I go thru the work of copying and pasting all those settings just to see if the omission of that data was the root cause. We really didn't have the problem for the first year after the system was installed, and in the second year is when I added all the new phones - and the people complaining were all in that group of new users, so I'm hoping!

Thanks!

I will get a working example for you but at the moment I cant get access to the specific site where 1 x 4000 and about 5 x 3000's are working so give me a day or two to get access and I will post it then
So hold on for a while with the COP/COT etc.
Regards

Here you go...
Some of it might be superfluous to your setup but this works well for me.
Callback, Names and central voicemail with lamp on/off all working with this.
Only one example extension (3333) sent to the HiPath 3000 from the 4000, add more as required.
Also this is a 30 channel link which may be different where you are.

Thank you! I will print that and compare it to what's on mine. If anything's missing I can add it in.
