I recently acquired a HP1600CM printer fitted with a Jetdirect J2552a card.

I have installed Jetadmin on my server.

I have printed out the configuration page from the printer.

I note that the printer has defaulted to its default settings, including that it is using the 10baseT port. I wish to use RJ45.

How do I change the card to go to RJ45? Once that is done I am sure I can set it up through jetadmin.

Cold re-set with cable unplugged. Then plug in, and start-up
This will get you a new IP.

How do you do a "cold reset" with one of these cards?

More importantly will this make it change from the 10BaseT port to the RJ45?

OK, then I was mistaken and believed it was referring to the thinwire BNC connecter.

OK, so how do I do a "cold reset" with this card?

Brian, hold the left button on the right while powering on.
Since you have WebJet Admin, just type in the IP the printer config page has, in the "find" box at lower left.
Dbbl click the printer it finds, and go to it's config page.
You can make all changes there. dont forget to click "apply"
at the bottom of the page.
