HP-UX mail attachment 1

Is there a way to send an email attachment from HP-UX? We are trying to come up with a way to send a report out as an attachment rather than the message body of the email.

You can try the following :

uuencode filename filename | mailx -ms"subject" mailaddress

Have a look at mpack. It is a utility to mime encode files. We are using this to automatically email excel spreadsheets to clients from an ERP system. If you want more info get in touch.
