We are currently using Netbackup DataCenter to backup our companies servers. The server is a Windows 2000 platform and we have other 2000 platforms as clients being backed up without any issues. We recently added an HP-UX 11.0 client to the backup routine. The backup runs without errors. However, on the Unix box the disk utilization went through the roof when the backup completed. The only way we have found to clear this issue is to reboot the unix box.
Does anyone have any Ideas for me to look at. I am getting no where with both HP and Veritas on this issue.

I do have Verbose logging turned on to track the problem (per Veritas tech).
I have tried doing it with Verbose off and the same thing happens.

Do you have the job set to use True Image Recovery aka TIR with move detection?

I am not sure. How can I find out? I am running Netbackup DataCenter 4.5GA with no patches.

TIR is not set, should it be? What do I need to be concerned with when it is set?
