Dear Members,

OS : HP-UX B.10.20 A 9000/785 2013992188 two-user license

There are few PCs with fixed IP addresses that access the unix server via a sofware called NFS Maestro. Using this application, users can map the unix drives onto their PCs. All such PCs have fixed IP addresses and may be that they would be registered somewhere on th Unix machine.
There is a requirement to add 2 more PCs. Can you please let me know if you can findout where the IP addresses need to be included so that the new pcs can map the drives.

I am new to HP unix and I am very much thankful for your valuable informations.

From my understanding of your question, You just add new ip address for each PCs.
In HPUX, add new ipadress and hostname of the PCs in /etc/hosts

Regards

Sometimes NFS shares are set up to limit which machines can access them. On Solaris it is set by the "share" command or in /etc/dfs/dfstab file. If it is not set up like that you shouldn't have to do anything, otherwise you may need to /etc/dfs/dfstab file to add the new IP addresses or host names.

That's for Solaris. I don't know how HP-UX differs. You really should post this question in the HP-UX forum.
