Hello, hope everyone had a good holiday, I posted a question a couple of months ago, and recieved one reply, I do appreciate that reply, but air or a q tip will not get under the glass to clean the haze that has built up. Again if anyone knows how to take the glass out of this 2175v It would be a great help, I do a lot of dig. photos and I scan a lot of older photos and really need a clean glass on both sides thanks again, Bob

I have taken my glass out once to clean it. It took alittle time to do. You will need a torx I'm guessing about a number 8 or 10 and a small flat blade screw driver.

Romove the left side display panel cover. Use the screw driver to carefully pry the tabs on the sides of the display panel cover. There is a square hole just below the black start button on the display. Use the torx to push down on the tab below and side the display towards the front of the printer. Now lift the display and disconnect the ribbon cable. Note cabel orintation for reassembly.

Now you should see 3 torx head screws. Remove them. Pick up the back of the glass assembly and gently pull it up and to the back of the printer. This will dislodge the tabs on the front of the glass assembly.

Clean and reassemble in reverse order.

Good Luck.
