Hi,
I'm configuring a HP Proliant DL180 G6 for Home Server/Lab purposes.
I wonder if I could use normal SATA disks like 'Western Digital - HDD/WD RE4/2TB SATA 7200rpm 64MB' or even cheaper disks (perhaps not in a RAID configuration than).
There is an option called: HP
HP 8-bay SAS/SATA Hot Plug LFF Drive Cage Option (DL18X)
Any idea what this is for and where you have to install it?
I suppose I will have to buy the LFF Cases on ebay since HP does not sell these separately.
Server is meant to be used in a home/study environment with 2008 Hyper-V or ESXi.
Thx!
