Have just moved all printers from an old winnt server to a win2k server. printer settings were exactly copied but now label templates are misaligning that worked perfectly before.

any help or experience of such problems would be great

printers are all types (8150, 4050, 4100 etc) and labels are avery standard 5162 size.

printers are set for a4 paper

u need to download the proper drivers.. winnt uses PCL5e (for those printers)

win2k uses PCL6e.. u should be able to download the driver from hp.com

only pcl6 is available from hp website and that was already the installed driver.

if this pcl6e does exist where can i get it ??

the e just means its a monochrome printer.. the pcl6 there should be the one..

but if u didnt upgrade the drivers when u changed to win2k, ure probably still running pcl5..

if u already have pcl6 running for some reason, i still suggest u download and install the latest version of the driver.. might fix the prob

btw, a little below the downloadable files theres a "automatic driver check", might want to try it =)

re-installed it from downloaded version - still the same !

shows up correctly as pcl6 on users pc !

any more ideas ?

i hate labels !

using adobe apps?
might need to use Post script instead of pcl..

it sure sounds like a driver problem since it worked allrite with an earlier win OS..

make sure u have pcl6 on both clients and server..
check for latest f/w
