I have a hp omnibook laptop.

The modell on HP omnibook Xe3 witk 800 P III processor.

I have formatted the harddisk and ran XP professional to the machine while it was a bit unstable with win2000.

This same problem existed while usin win2000 too.

When I start the machine, i get a long beep and then these errors:

ERROR
Resource conflict - Pci on morherboard
bus:00, Devide:08, function:01

that one comes too times in a row and the last is

ERROR
Resource conflict - Pci network Controller on Morherboard
bus:00,device:10,function:00

The machine gives me three alternatives after stopping on that error screen (it comes in a dow-window):

*Press esc to change boot order - nothing happens
*press f1 to resume, the machine halt on the winxp loading screen
*press F2 to setup

I always press F2 and then reboot but always get the same error....

Please help me with this one, im running out of hope soon...

thanx in advance.

Have you called HP about it?

Are you able to get into the BIOS of the machine? Jennifer Sigman

The HP:s own pages suck on these tech-questions, especially on weekends...

I can get to setup yes, but i cant controll these resources that the machine os complaining about from there ....

If I only would get a tip how to clear cmos or sth on this laptop...

You're right, HP's help website is about as helpful as Microsoft's help website...

If you've got the laptop's paperwork with you, see if you can find where the CMOS battery is. If you pop the battery, turn the machine on, then turn it off after a few seconds and put the battery back, it'll redetect everything in the BIOS. Jennifer Sigman
