I'm running windows xp in a network environment. When I put the Windows XP into the system, the hp laserjet 4si (only from that workstation) began to print slow. It will print a page, pause, print a page, pause, etc. I've tried all of the general stuff to correct the problem but have had no luck. I've updated to the HP drivers, added the Tcp port locally (instead of printing through the server), used older hp 4 drivers, etc. I ran into a similar problem with windows 2000. Installing the HP provided drivers fixed the problem.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks

Having same problem slow printing with HP4 Plus. Haven't found a solution - one would be welcomed.

If you have solved your problem with the Win2K could you plz tell me how u did it? I have the same problem with an HP laserjet 1100 on a Win2K server. I send some docs or pps or anything from my win2k client and it starts printing and then pauses and then prints one more page and then pauses again and so on. Also some times it completely stops, an error message comes up and the green led goes live. So i've got to push the button and the printing starts again but the next page is printed in two parts. I've installed the latest drivers from the HP site for that printer. What else can I do?
