HP Laserjet 4300tn Light printing

I have a HP Laserjet 4300tn that I put a maintainence kit in. I cleaned the inside with canned air and reset the maintainence count. Now it prints really light, even with a new cartridge. What can I do?

Make sure you pulled the ribbon from the new cartridge. If you did, try looking in the settings and see if you have Economode ON. If not, and you pulled the ribbon, toner dust might have been blown in the laser. Let me know what worked.

Economode was on and Transfer Roller was left out of the machine. Thanks for the help.

WOW, I did'nt even think to suspect the transfer roller being missing. I wouldnt have even thought toner would have been distibuted. Glad you found out!
