HP Laserjet 2200D printer is not printing some of the capitalized letters on documents - it is mainly dropping capitalized A, R and Y. e.g. a sentence such as "CONTRACT FOR A. BRAUN" can come out as "CONTR CT FOR . BR UN". The problem occurs intermittetly. I have tried re-installing the printer driver, doing a cold reset on the printer and changing the printer cable. I printed 10 test pages on the printer itself (by pressing the GO button) and the problem did not come up. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Maybe it is a corrupted true type font. Try changing the font and see if that makes a difference.

Try this... In the driver (PCL 5 or 6) under preferences go to Printing Preferences => Print Quality => Details => Font Settings => Mark the option Send True Type as bitmap.

the post from hpwizzard does usually fix this type of problem, but my question is why does this happen? I have searched around for this, but have not yet had a good explanation for this behavior.
