Re: HP LaserJet 1320 printing problem

More often that not, when I print a document with this printer the "sending data" message appears in the printer window but nothing happens. Often after a few minutes a white exclaimation mark in a red circle will appear in the icon of the printer in the dock. After that everything stops completely.

I have installed the one driver (from 2004) I have found for this printer for Mac OS X from the HP drivers web page.

I do have a 15 foot USB cable connected between the printer and the computer but I don't anticipate that this length of cable is the problem.

Any tips on what might be the problem and how to solve it are greatly appreciated. At best this printer works 50% of the time.

I have installed the driver you've provided and I also have the 15 foot USB cable connected to a self-powered NexxTech seven port hub (model 2616524). I've also tried connecting the USB cable directly into the back of my G5 PowerMac.

In either case the printer just doesn't work properly.
Thanks for the driver and tips.
