HP Laptophigh capacity

Hi I'm looking for a good quality laptop battery supplier. I have an HP 6052ea it has good stock approx 4800mAh battery. I want about twice the power, say 8800 or 10400mAh. I've read feedback on eBay looked at many web vendors, but there's nothing the same as someone telling you that they got something similar from ABC Co and that they were ok to deal with, and that the battery was good quality, and the right spec. It does not have to be the very cheapest supplier, just reasonable. I'm in the UK. Thanks for taking the trouble....I have searched the forums before submission. Cheers

Hi to all
Thanks to those who have read my post.
I have since been advised of a decent company on Amazon selling Anker 3rd party batteries with consistantly good reviews.
Will report back on success; this should be a good few weeks/months; so I'll report on my experiences in the next 2 monthes if this thread is left open.
Thanks again.

My thought is that they're all made in China. You pay your money and you take your chances and price is based on capacity. Higher capacity = higher cost in general plus the rarer the laptop model, the higher the price for any battery to fit it.

If you buy from a reputable dealer or the OEM, you'd be better of than buying from a battery search result from the 20th Google search page result.

Hi goonbawaho
Yes that sounds reasonable.
Thanks to you.
I have now ordered a battery branded Anker, from Amazon. As mentioned above, I will report back on progress a couple of monthes down the line if the thread is left open.
Cheers

Since you are in the UK I have found great for both original and third party brands.

Hi

Thanks for that....will report back eventually

Cheers

It's very tough with MOST computer components to get a review of how they perform after a period of time. Sure it works great out of the box (most items do), but how will it serve me after 1 year, 2 years, etc. Batteries are not a highly review item - especially replacement batteries.

For cars there is lots of data to look at, but computers and components - you are basically buying on manufacturer reputation and a new product review. It would be very nice of you to come back and report how it works with the full battery model number and the vendor.

Just for kicks I checked a CSB brand battery and a Genesis. They both say made in Vietnam! I would also have guessed everything was made in China.

As far a battery quality goes, I have found that you need to stick with OEM or top tier battery manufacturers like CSB or it is pretty much a crap shoot on what you get.

Hi Jim and Goomba

Very kind to take the trouble. As I have said I have now gone for an Anker battery through Amazon. I have now received the battery and installed it. It seems to be exactly what it claims to be ; however time will tell. As I stated I will report back after a good period.

Thanks to all.

Cheers

David
