I have been having a weird problem with my printer. At times it works great, but then there is a day here or there where it acts on its own.

I have two computers printing to this printer with the one acting as the server for the printer. It happens very irregularly but the printer prints out the weird characters at the top of each page goes to the next page and does the same thing. It does this through a lot of pages?

Is this a driver issue? Computer Issue? I tried a driver update on the machine? Do I need to get updated drivers for the other machine? I am confused a bit.

Any hel would be appreciative. Thanks.

You may have been using the postscript driver.
Try the PCL 6, or 5e.
Happen in all apps used? Or just one? Check cable connections and/or replace. Network card? May be going bad.

I have been using my hp 1220c as usual.
I tried to print on A4 light weight card (which I have successfully before).
This time it did not work so I thought it a good idea to feed the card in through the back.
I unlocked and removed the box thing at the back, relised that it did nothing to help, replaced it, locked it...
...and now it refuses to work.
When I turn it on from a cold start the green light comes on for about 5 seconds... then goes out.

help please
