Help. My 1220c developed a grinding noise after feeding light card stock through the read manual feed slot. HP's web site gives suggestions for solving this, which including turning the printer on and off! Now the two lights are on and flashing, it grinds without provocation, and will not accept print jobs. Any suggestions for do-it-myself repair? Thanks in advance for your help. Linda

I have just encountered the same problem with the LJ1200. It occurred after a paper jam (multiple sheet feed), and I eneded up removing the Right hand panel from the printer to try to reseat the drive cog on the end of the feeder bar. That seemed to fix the noise problem, but now the feeder bar is not rotating 360 degrees, but I don't know whether it is under or over. Either way I am looking for inspirartion for a different (but related) problem.

I have tried the FixYourOwnPrinter.com site and found them to be very responsive. If nothing else, you can get a manual from them for your printer and/or parts.
