Our consultant said to replace our tapes after 6 months(24 backups). The HP site says they are good for 100 backups.
That is a huge diference!

Any recommendations???

Hi Joe

The DDS tapes are good for 100 backups.Make sure they are store in a cool dry place and that you take care of your drive by cleaning it after every 5 backups. What I would recomend is that you purchase HP DDS media due to the fact that If the tape did fail before 100 backups then hp would replace it for you
See here for further questions regarding HP DDS Media

Also For information about the warranty see here

Hope this Helps
Shaun
