HP C6280 printer page cut off 1

Printing from Vista to HP C6280 all-in-one printer not infrequenly the page is cut off before it's entirely printed.

Symptoms:
> I THINK this does not happen on multiple page printouts
> for sure happens on different applications (Word, Quicken reports, etc).
> if i take the same file, copy it to a USB drive and print it on my other XP laptop, it always works fine so it's not the printer itself.
> Generally the problem eventually goes away. Sometimes with a reboot of the PC, but sometimes that doesn't work either.

I posed this issue to the HP forum for printers and don't think i got a response. It's been going on for a few months at least and i think i updated the drivers recently.

It does seem to be a memory issue. I changed the print quality to draft and the whole page printed. Never thought of trying that until i read your reply. Thanks.
