I do have a question regarding about a HP A5185A fiber card which connects to EMC clariion 4900. On the card, the LINK light is off. I know the wire is OK. Is the card wrong or the configuration on EMC clariion 4900? Thanks for any help....
check and see what ioscan says...
if it says that the card is unknown then
you have a card issue...
if everything checks ok.... call hp..
if everything works ok... you may have a bad light
:?)
I really would need more info on what is going on...
I have no clue about your emc config...
This may be a job for your EMC or hp suppt people.
Hi,

If not take the fiber cable, remove it from the bay, take one fiber, the black for exemple, connect on the HBA the same color on the both side of the same card. The light must flash and you have done a loop, after reconnect the cable to the disk array, shut down the disk array and start again.
I just do the same and now the system is ok.
Let me know.
