got this error message frequently at roughly every 30pgs or less and sometimes appx at 100pgs and when it happens you noticed that there is no physical jam located anywhere at the right hand cover. I checked the sensor and tested good, printed from all trays looks like it jams from all possible trays intermittently
I would like your 2nd opinion on this issue, like should I replace PIU for tray4 or tray2&3. Will solve this isssue?

Error: 13.01.00 Jam

Description: There is a jam in the specified location.

Action:

1. Clear the jam in the indicated area

2. Opening and closing a door will cause the printer to attempt to clear the paper path

3. Verify that the pickup rollers are properly installed in trays 2 and 3.

4. Try swapping the rollers between trays 2, 3, or 4 (if equipped).

5. Try a different media; if possible use standard HP copy paper for testing.

A "jam" could be reported if a paper does not move as expected along the paper path. If wear and tear are the culprits, which eventually happens, then list items 3 and 4 above should be investigated first since the feed/separation or other pickup/transport rollers may have worn smooth and are not grabbing the paper.

As always, post what the solution was so we know what worked.

as i said before, there is NO jams everytime I receive that message so I wan wandering if replacing PIU will solve the problem

Is it a problem where the paper won't start feeding? What I said above was that a "paper jam" error could either be a jam or a feed issue.

So, does it fail to pull the paper? If so, it could be a paper feed failure and so examine the rollers that pull the paper out of the tray(s). Replace any which have worn smooth.

I have checked all rollers it wasn't really smooth nor bolded...
