I have an hp 8150N network Printer that I want to connect to my network and I can't seem to get it to work. I have tried to connect a crossover cable from a computer to the printer and ping the printer ip address but I get no reply. does that mean that the network card installed is bad or maybe the port. When I have the printer print the specs sheet it prints 2 sheets - one is the network card, which i have read means that the card is working, so is it a setting issue. I am sure i need to provide more info but not sure what other info is needed, Please help.

Need more info. What is the IP address of the printer? and what is the IP address of the computer?

Use a standard RG45 cable. What NIC? If a 600,610,615, try updating the firmware, Or replace with a 620.
Does the NIC light up?
Since you have a network config page, go to the driver and set the port for those #'s
Using a router or switch?
