I have this message:- 'Loading Program 1' whenever I switched on the printer HP 8150. Then the printer goes past this message to normal operation. How can I clear the message/error ? I've tried to clean up the NVRAM (no harddisk installed), but message is still there.

Thanks for any help
Mike

Do you have any special font dimms installed?
Are you sure there is no HD?
Whats your environment, and Application used?

No special font dimms installed, no HD.
The message appears at the start-up of the printer, in the initialising procedure.
The message first appeared after I've installed and configured JetAdmin software on the pc. I've uninstalled the program (full uninstall), but the message stays on at the start-up of the printer.

JetAdmin would not be the problem. It is more usefull than anything else. There is no reference to any "Program 1" in the service manual, which is why I thought fonts, and or any other personality dimms. However, this may be related to the formatter, and engine control. NVRAM may be corrupted and need to replace the ECU.

Try a cold reset. Hold down the Go button while powering on until you see, "restoring factory defaults" in the display. You will need to re-configure your jetdirect afterwards.

And to echo Michael, are you absolutely sure there is no hard drive?
