HP 4600 Stuck in calibration mode 1

Hi,

I have an HP 4600 stuck in calibration mode. My counterpart thought he'd fixed it with a cold boot? But 3 days later we're back where we started. Does anyone have an idea of how to fix this?
 
Any error messages after the reset ?

I have a 4600 that is doing the same thing. It comes up to Calibrate and then does nothing else.

The event codes are:
83.0180
82.0180

Any information would be helpful since this printer is out of warranty.
 
here is what I would do.. let it sit for a time in the corner to "rest"... nothing plugged in..

then I would do a settings "factory restore" and reconfigure it and give it another go...

it may be having some firmware problems if that doesnt resolve your issues.

Hey guys. It ended up being the NIC card. I have a few other solutions but the shortcuts are at work. I will post them on Monday. Sorry for the delay.
 
so guys have you found something on this problem cuz I got the same it's seem to be common on this model
 
I powered down the printer, changed NIC position from EIO #1, to #2. Powered back up and all is good.
 
Tell me that the NIC card is a Jet Direct 615N? If it is, HP has a known issue with this card, for this exact problem. They will replace this card with a newer 620N if the serial number of the card is within the affected range.

The range of the affected cards is SG27000000 to SG2AFFFFFF The service note you need to reference is
J6057-01A
