Hi - We are a non profit, and had an HP 4550n color laser donated with full toner cartridges, and a drum indicating about 20% life left. When we initially ran configuration reports and the test print (full color sample) everything looked great! Then later trying to run 10 copies of a brochure to plain paper, a black line started to appear and every new page it would be in a different place and a different degree of darkness. It was black.
We followed all of the cleaning procedures found on the HP site, but still haven't replaced the drum. We printed a series of pages in color, and after about 7 pages, we note that the band returns...
Any ideas on what could be causing this? They are vertical bands, and inconsistent in their position on the page... is it the drum?
Thanks!
