I have the HP4250 Network printer setup and when I print reports from my accounting software, It prints to tray 1 which is good. However when I print invoices it prints only from tray 2 which is the manual feed. Any idea why it does this, I can't stand there all day and manually feed the paper.

I have gone into the server and changed the settings on the printer to default to the tray I want at all times and have done so locally and it still doesn't work. It has led me to believe what you stated that it must be the application.
It was working before with another printer I had but I just replaced it.

Tray 1: MP fold down
Tray 2: cassette
set tray 1 to cassette, not first.
When you select tray1{MP}in the print setup you can walk up to it and put in the paper you want.
